Criminal Use of Diamonds, Gemstones and Precious Metals (hands-on) training course.
These intensive 2-day law enforcement technique courses contain practical theory and hands-on technique modules that are highly interactive and custom tailored to the unit or officers participating from all spectrums of policing including street policing, economic crime, narcotics officers & federal policing. Officers completing this course are highly aware of criminal activities and techniques relating to diamonds gemstones and precious metals and garner advanced law enforcement investigative skills and prosecution techniques.
Diamond and Jewellery Crimes (virtual) training seminars.
These 1-day seminars contain practical theory modules designed specifically for the participating unit or agency to advance knowledge and investigative awareness of diamond and jewellery-related criminal activity.
Online Training Modules. These are one-off specialty police-only technique and theory courses. JVC currently offers two courses with new courses under development for 2021.
- Jewellery Tracking course provides theory and techniques for tracking recovered jewellery to find owners, determine if the items are stolen, and for supporting possession of stolen property, narcotics, proceeds of crime investigations and other investigations.
- Diamond, Gemstone and Gold Valuation course provides details into market valuation, and the criminal use and valuation, of these items for use as a currency, storage of wealth, and generating profits specific to the criminal/criminal enterprise involved.
