Investigational Assistance
JVC provides investigational assistance to law enforcement by offering industry-wide fan-outs on behalf of police to our nearly 1000 crime prevention program members to help locate owners of recovered jewellery, to inform industry of stolen jewellery, and to provide details of criminal events and roaming criminals.
- Officers only have to send JVC basic details of the event with photos and JVC will construct the alert bulletin and fan it out to the crime prevention program members on behalf of the Officer/Agency.
- Officers and analysts can also sign up to receive these alerts by contacting JVC to be placed on the police fan-out list. Police can contact JVC at info@jewellerycrimecanada.ca to receive the alerts.
- In addition to alerts, JVC produces quarterly trend bulletins and an annual crime report related to Canadian criminal events and statistics about jewellery crimes and this is available to those who sign up to receive the alerts.
