Sep 24, 2017
Bulletin 2017-2273

On September 24th, 2017 shortly after 10:30am, Hamilton Police responded to an alarm at C&D Jewelry Store located at 651 Upper James Street.  Police found the front door had been smashed, entry was gained and several jewelry items stolen.  During the investigation blood was detected at the scene and it appeared the suspect(s) may have cut themselves while smashing the glass.

Shortly after the entry, police received information about a suspicious male in the area of Upper Ottawa and Fennell Ave.  The description of the male prompted Hamilton Police Officer to check inside a local pawn shop where a male was located with cuts to his hand, trying to sell the freshly stolen merchandise.

Charged with Break & Enter and Possession over $5000 is Garry Dunham, 44 years from Hamilton.
