OSHAWA — Police are investigating a break-in over the weekend at an Oshawa Ontario jewellery store.

The incident, took place at a jewellery store  in the Five Points Mall on Taunton Road, was reported just after 11 a.m. Sept. 10, Durham police said. The break-in, which caused substantial damage, occurred while no one was in the store, police said.

Photos from the scene indicate the bandits gained entry to the mall by breaking through the roof of the former Target store, then dropped a rope ladder to the floor. A second hole was cut through a wall to gain entry to the store.
