Distraction Theft

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance identifying a man in a Theft Over investigation. It is reported that:
- on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 12:22 p.m., a man walked into a jewellery store in the Fairview Mall
- he was observed on security camera forcing open a jewellery display case
- he then removed a large quantity of high-end merchandise
- he placed the items into his pockets and left the shopping mall
He is described as late 20s to early 40s, wearing glasses, blue jeans and a grey collared golf shirt. He was also observed wearing a dark jacket or sweater with a zipper and drawstrings on the side, a blue Under Armour baseball cap and brown shoes with white soles.
