ALL PERSONS ARE CONSIDERED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW

Three men entered a retail jewellery store in Calgary Alberta. The men distracted staff to different parts of the store. They may a point of showing staff a large amount of cash.

One of the subjects asked to see Rolex watches. After some conversation he indicated he was interested in buying one of the watches and advised the sales associate that he would pay cash. When she went to the backroom to get a box she heard the male subject call to his friends. When she came out all subjects had left the store. On May 3rd they found an expensive watch missing and a review of the cameras indicated the subjects mentioned above took the watch. The incident has been reported to Calgary Police on Occ # 17179077.

JVC has noticed an increase in distraction thefts throughout Canada, but mainly in the Western Provinces. JVC recommends you always keep your eye on the merchandise and do not allow yourself to be distracted.
