Investigators are looking for four suspects after an Oshawa jewellery store was robbed at gunpoint. Shortly before 12:45 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017, Durham police were called to a jewellery store on  King Street West  Oshawa for an attempted robbery. According to police, four masked suspects, one with a handgun, entered the store and demanded jewellery. However, the suspects fled on foot without any stolen goods. One store employee sustained minor injuries as a result of this incident.

Police describe the four suspects as brown-skinned males and wearing masks, while one had a handgun. Anyone with information on this investigation is asked to call the Major Crime Robbery Unit at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 5355.

Following this attempted the same  suspects went to rob a Whitchurch-Stouffville jewelry store at gunpoint. The trio walked into a jewellery store  on Main Street near Weldon Road on Friday, March 3rd 2017, at around 2:24 p.m. Employees told York Regional Police that the men, who had their faces covered, demanded access to the store’s safe. When employees refused, police say the men smashed several cases and stole a quantity of jewelry.

The three suspects fled on foot. The first suspect is described as a black man, about 6’, 20 to 25-years-old, and was seen wearing a black hoodie, dark jeans and a black balaclava. He was armed with a handgun. The second suspect is described as a black man, about 5’6”, and was seen wearing a black balaclava. The third suspect is described as an 18 to 20-year-old black man.

Anyone with information is asked to call York Regional Police Robbery Unit or Crime Stoppers.
