Attempt Theft Travelling Salesperson

In Vancouver on October 6th a travelling salesman was followed and targeted for a theft. As he was loading his bags into his car, one was snatched from his car. The salesman yelled “thief” repeatedly and pursued. A bystander assisted and tried to block the thief. The thief threw the bag and fled into a waiting vehicle. No one was hurt and all goods were recovered. Vancouver Police Department is investigating. 

Police occ#  16-200148 and the OIC is Cst Victoria Bryan 604-717-9168. If you have information or you have also been a victim of this type of theft make sure you report it to police.


NOTE: It appears there maybe a gang operating in the Vancouver area that is targeting travelling salespeople. Be cautious and aware of anyone following you.  Take evasive action and drive to a gas station or other place where there are a lot of people if you feel you are being followed.
